Coming to town with the kids? Entertaining your kids on any budget is easy in Brisbane! Check out some of these top ideas, most of which are free!

Brisbane City Hall Clock Tower Tours

The historic landmark offers FREE guided tours of the Clock Towers every 15 minutes from 10:15am to 4:45pm. The tour is on a first come first served basis, head to level 3 for a ticket.

South Bank Cineplex

Enjoy some down time with the latest school holiday movies at South Bank Cineplex.  Experience pinpoint accuracy on Brisbane’s only laser projectors in Cinema 5!

Roma Street Parklands and City Botanic Gardens

Spend the day outdoors enjoying the wide open spaces that are perfect for picnics, then hit the playgrounds to burn off some energy. Many of Brisbane’s parks offer free guided tours.

South Bank’s Street Beach

This man made beach is awesome for swimming, and water play. It’s patrolled by lifeguards (check for times) and even has it’s own surf club! Oh and did we mention it’s FREE?!

Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens and Lookout

City Hopper

Hop on this FREE Brisbane ferry service and cruise the Brisbane River between 6am and midnight with services departing every 30 mins. You’ll travel along the Brisbane River, stopping at North Quay, South Bank 3, Maritime Museum, Thornton Street, Eagle Street Pier, Holman Street, Dockside and Sydney Street terminals.

Queensland Museum

Located in South Bank this museum features science, culture & natural history exhibits specific to the Queensland region. Many of the exhibits are FREE but some incur a cost. Don’t miss the new Sciencentre feature: SparkLab when it launches from 17 September 2018!
